LOCAL CHARITIES, A VISIONARY, NETWORKING, REFERRALS, PROMOTION AND YOU ALL HAVE A COMMON BOND — YOU NEED EACH OTHER!
In Monte Sereno, CA. We Have Such a Leader, Lynda Evjen.

Lynda Evjen speaks at the YWCA Oct. 15, 2002 at the 12th Annual Professional Women's Luncheon.Local Charities need and get support as a result of hard work by many dedicated people who team up together in order to plan, promote, and execute the activity.

Lynda Evjen, of the Buzz Bee Group (408-395-0230) proved to be the perfect Chairperson of the 2002 YWCA fundraising event. In the midst of tough economic times, this year’s event was a formidable success. The Buzz Bee Group is a boutique “adventure firm” that she describes as a “public relations, marketing communication firm”. Lynda's team creates and promotes/advertises ideas, concepts, and corporate events. She knows how to jump-start an event, a company promotion, and a gala event. Lynda Evjen uses her skills and her contacts to organize committees of very talented people who make a difficult task look easy. Lynda is the ultimate manager of fun!

Gary Mountain, Manager of California Star Properties, Inc., participates in and supports the “Professional Women’s Luncheon” which benefits the YWCA in Santa Clara County.

The YWCA in Santa Clara County serves our community in so many ways. Many of those services occur in areas that most of us don’t want to admit happen here. They are tough tasks that must be dealt with:
  • Assault Prevention and Intervention
  • Child and Teen Assault Prevention and Intervention
  • Teen Pregnancy
  • Rape Crisis
  • Counseling Services
  • Parent Education
  • Child Care
  • Employment Development
  • Youth Services and so much more.
Many people do not want to address any of these social issues, but if a member of your family, a friend, a church member, or someone that you don’t even know needed assistance, or was in trouble, and they thought that there was no hope for them... the YWCA and it’s staff and volunteers are here to help.

But they can’t do it all without your help! It is not too late – you can always donate money.

If you go to their web site (www.ywca-scv.org), you can find out what your gift can do. A small donation can assist so many and a larger donation can be life changing. Call 408-295-4011 and ask to give. If you have a family member who would like to be a volunteer and give of their time and their heart you may call the same number. Also, If you go to the web site and see the Events and/or Volunteer Opportunities sections, you may find a program that you would like to help. Servicing your community is a wonderful way of giving.

Lynda Evjen is one of the busiest social people around. Yet, she always finds the time to Chair the next charity event. Just imagine what she can do for your firm’s growth as well. Support those in our community who serve us so well. It is all about the people we know and conduct business, and about mentoring one another. Just ask Lynda and we are sure that she will have a service task that you too can do.
